So, this is an old one that I’d use to have. It’s a dream of mine. I dub it, “The Railway System”.
This dream is one thing that stuck with me since the first time I had it when I was at least 3 years old. It’s a rather odd one, because the last time I had this was at least 2010 - 2011 and it just returns in 2020, 13 years old.
This is the only dream I’ve ever talked about to anyone most people. This might mean something, but I don’t know yet. It could just be a random dream or it might mean something, and I’ll find out just in time or too late.
Anyway, on with the dream.
It’s a rather simple dream. As much as you want to believe that it’s far worse or much more complicated, it’s easier to explain than you assume.
The dream starts with me, a young kid walking through an empty railway surrounded by trees. Trees were placed on the sides and the middle of the railways and the leaves were also orange and yellow, indicating that it was fall. It was peacefully quiet. In front of me were two tunnels, leading somewhere. The dream ends with me entering one of the tunnels, the right one specifically.

Whatever happened to me wasn’t very… clear, but I have some gruesome assumptions on what my fate could’ve been. As an overthinker, I try to plan out in advance against certain situations before acting out. What I assume could’ve happened to me was I fell asleep and never woke up, I crossed the tunnel and just kept walking, or I saw what was inside, ran out, got dragged in and died regardless.
I can think of more ways of what could’ve happened, but I don’t have much time for making other possibilities.
On 2020, April 25: Saturday, the same dream occured, except it appeared differently. I was much older, it was less bright and the trees seemed slightly… wilted. The city around it was just as quiet as before, but it didn’t seem peaceful, more of an eerie too-quiet version. The buildings around it also seemed a bit withered and broken.
I was a bit more grown up, estimated 16-22 years, carrying supplies and a weapon. The dream ended in the same way. The possibilities are also the same. Whatever happened doesn’t look right, but with my level of nerdiness, I can only assume that it’s a virus outbreak.
Seeing the way that these occurred in different times might only serve to see about how my past is in contrast to my present and future. But it worries me a bit. And it’s rare for me to even think that. Almost impossible to say so. I’m worried something big might be on the way, and that either no one knows, or no one’s doing a thing to stop it.
I’m relieved to know that I lived through that pandemic, but knowing that there’s no one to help makes my worries increase in severeness. There’s nothing I know about it, except for the things I assume and theorize about what it could be or would have been.
I… I don’t know anymore. Well, people were right about one thing: explaining dreams down to the smallest detail is hard. And if you did, it might scare or entertain you.
We’re all complicated individuals who have different situations and dreams, who are we to judge?
This was a hard topic for me to explain. Being able to type this in only makes it completely legible and sort of easier to understand. If you want to, you can provide feedback for any future posts that may come in our future, but for now; stay safe and stay home. Goodbye and good luck!I can think of more ways of what could’ve happened, but I don’t have much time for making other possibilities.

Hi Andrei,
ReplyDeleteWow, what an interesting post today. I used to have a recurring dream that puzzled me, but when I finally worked out where it came from I stopped having it. I'm not saying that will happen to you, but it is interesting.
You said that you assume the dream is about a virus outbreak. It must be comforting to know that the current pandemic (COVID-19) seems to be well under control in New Zealand.
