Nature-Fix and The Creation Story

  Hello, there.
      - Me

So, in this blog, we are gonna talk about getting a Nature-Fix. It's getting in touch with nature and focus less on our own comforts. Here's what I'm gonna do in my blog.

  1. Explain the 5 ways to being healthy in nature.
  • Taking a walk in the forest,
  • Camping,
  • Swimming
  • Tree climbing
  • Hiking
      2. Describe one way you enjoy the outdoors and set a goal for a new outdoor activity.
  • The one way I enjoy the outdoors is by playing around with my toys and that it's a lot of space to do something in.
       3. Put a picture of a favourite outdoor place with a caption explaining why it is important to you and your whanau[family].
Image result for garden       This garden is important to me and my family                                                                                because we can get to see beautiful flowers every day.

        4. Share a CREATION story you know.

The Genesis Creation Story is known very well by Christians and Catholics worldwide. This entry is found in the Old Testaments: Genesis 1:3-2:3. It goes like this:

Genesis 1:3
In the beginning... God created the Earth. And the Earth was without form, and void; and darkness [was] upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Genesis 2:3 - Six Days of Creation

First Day
And God said: "Let there be light." and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light: "day", and the darkness, He called: "night". And there was evening and there was morning, one day.

 Second Day
And God said: "Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters." And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament, and it was so. And God called the firmament "Heaven". And there was evening and morning, a second day.

 Third Day
And God said: 'Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear.' And it was so. And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters called He Seas; and God saw that it was good. And God said: 'Let the earth put forth grass, herb yielding seed, and fruit-tree bearing fruit after its kind, wherein is the seed thereof, upon the earth.' And it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, herb yielding seed after its kind, and tree bearing fruit, wherein is the seed thereof, after its kind; and God saw that it was good. And there was evening and there was morning, a third day.

 Fourth Day
And God said: 'Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years; and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth.' And it was so. And God made the two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night; and the stars. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness; and God saw that it was good. And there was evening and there was morning, a fourth day.

 Fifth Day
And God said: 'Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures, and let fowl fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.' And God created the great sea-monsters, and every living creature that creepeth, wherewith the waters swarmed, after its kind, and every winged fowl after its kind; and God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying: 'Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.' And there was evening and there was morning, a fifth day.

 Sixth Day
And God said: 'Let the earth bring forth the living creature after its kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after its kind.' And it was so. And God made the beast of the earth after its kind, and the cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the ground after its kind; and God saw that it was good.
And God said: 'Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.' And God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them. And God blessed them; and God said unto them: 'Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that creepeth upon the earth.' And God said: 'Behold, I have given you every herb yielding seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed--to you it shall be for food; and to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is a living soul, [I have given] every green herb for food.' And it was so. And God saw every thing that He had made, and, behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.

 Seventh Day
And the heaven and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God finished His work which He had made; and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and hallowed it; because that in it He rested from all His work which God in creating had made.

Well, this is the blog that I made. I typed in the First to Second Day, but decided to copy-paste the rest. Thanks for viewing this blog, sorry if it took too much time to read, that's just how it is. Please provide some feedback so I can make my future posts better. Thanks!

My Investigation on Climate Change

   Hello, there.
                - Me

DEFINITION: the process of cutting down trees for several reasons

What are trees used for?
Trees are used for collecting carbon dioxide and converting them into breathable oxygen. If it comes to cutting down trees, then trees are used for their wood.

HOW DOES DEFORESTATION AFFECT THE CLIMATE?

It affects the climate because since there are lesser trees, the carbon dioxide is trapped in the atmosphere and the weather is getting hotter.

ICE CAP MELT

DEFINITION: the melting ice glaciers/caps

If all the ice melted what would happen?
If all the ice melted in Antarctica, the sea levels would rise, leaving some areas buried in seawater. And since Antarctica is 70% of Earth's freshwater in ice, saltwater fish would die, because of insufficient salt levels.

HOW DOES ICE CAP MELT AFFECT CLIMATE CHANGE?

The melting Ice Caps affect climate change by raising water levels, and decreasing the salinity of the seas and oceans, killing lots of saltwater fish.

Thank you for reading this blog, I hope you enjoyed it. As always, please provide some feedback for future blogs. Thanks!

Asking about Questions

Hello, there. (I don't know why I do this like I'm in YouTube.)
                       - Me

      Why do we ask questions?
We ask questions to learn more about a certain topic. If we don't or never ask questions, then we would only know what we would stay with. When reading a book, we ask questions to answer certain events happening in the text. We might even have to look around in the book to find the answer, sometimes the answer might not even be in the book.

Here are four types of questions regarding books:

1. Right There -
The "Right There" question indicates that the question is in the book/text, or could be in another page/book.

2. Think and Search -
The "Think and Search" question says that you think of an answer, but you'd have to point out several topics to connect your answer to the aftermath of the said event.

3. Author and Me -
The "Author and Me" question means that the answer might not be obvious or in front of you, so that you have to think of an answer with the knowledge the author gave you in the story.

4. On My Own -
The "On My Own" question means that the answer isn't in front of you and isn't obvious, and you don't know what would happen. So, you think of what would happen next in the story to the character, place, animal, etc. using your own understanding of the story.

Well, that's all for this blog. I hoped you liked it, if you did, please provide some feedback for future blogs and so that I can make them better. Thanks!

insert title here

Hello, there. Please don't ask about the blog title. I know it looks like I didn't put a title there, but I did. So, sorry about it.
                   - Me

In Drama class, we were given a task to draw a picture about Spring and write a haiku by our artwork. I partnered with a friend of mine[his name is irrelevant] and we both made our own artwork and haiku. By the end of the first period, we were told to go outside the auditorium and stand by a tree with our partners. Me and [my friend] decided to say our poems while singing them.

Here's my poem:
   Spring is wonderful,
   The flowers bloom everywhere here,
   It's a great season now.

 Here's [my friend]'s poem:
   Springtime,
   Chasing sun,
   Trees blooming,
   Flashing grass,
   Fresh flowers,
   Cool wind,
   Spring keeps me calm.

These are some images of Spring:

Well, that's all for this blog. I hope you enjoyed this blog, if you did, please provide me some feedback for future blogs. And, if you're wondering why I put text next to the pictures, I just wanted to. Goodbye!
