Blogging from Home: Part 2

Hello, everyone! For future reference, these will not be seen very often, as I don't do much very often. Stay at the end for a special surprise.
       - Me

This blog will be about my Art at Home activity and what I did.

In the Art at Home activities, obviously, there were a lot of art-related topics that didn't interest me. However, one stood out and it was called Quick, Draw! The goal is to draw a specific item in 20 seconds for the AI to guess. I had fun playing the first game, but I got stumped in the 'squirrel' part. I got 5 out of 6 drawings right because of it. I wanted to get 6 out of 6, and as the persistent one I am, I kept resetting and drawing for me to get them right.

It was exhilarating and quite fun. My brain and my hand had to cooperate to draw the thing before time ran out and that my mouse wasn't the best thing to draw with, it still worked.

Thank you for seeing this short blog. Sorry about the short ones I keep posting, but, hey, I'm trying. As promised, here's the link for a video, congratulating you for reading this.

  1. Hi Andrei,

I tried the Quick, Draw! site as well, and you're right - it IS a lot of fun. I actually spent a few hours playing it on a big screen at home (I'm better at it than my wife even though she studied Art when she was at school)!

Did you know that when you play Quick, Draw! you are helping AI (Artificial Intelligence) to learn to recognise images? So when we think we are getting better at the game maybe it is just the AI getting smarter. If we end up with Terminators ruling the world it'll be our fault!

Next time you do a blog post like this you might like to add a screenshot of the game or some other picture to help make your post more engaging.

    Ka kite ano.
