The Water Cycle

Hello, again! I hope you enjoy!
       - Me

 1. The Water Cycle connects with Water Vapour because it is a part of the Water Cycle and that water vapour is the form of evaporated water.

 2. Water vapour connects with Climate Change because it is a greenhouse gas. And greenhouse gases are some of the main causes of Climate Change.

 3. Water Vapour connects with Evaporation because water vapour is the form of evaporated water.

 4. Water Vapour connects with Transpiration because the water on the plants eventually dry away and turn into water vapour.

 5. Transpiration connects with Evaporation because the water on the plants evaporate into water vapour which then condensates.

 6. Transpiration and Evaporation connect with Condensation because, when the water heats from both water sources and water from plants(apparently almost anything covered in water) enough, the water turns into water vapour and it condensates into clouds.

 7. Condensation connects with Precipitation because when the water becomes too heavy for the clouds to carry, the water comes down as rain/sleet. If the water is cold enough, it may turn to snow or hail(falling ice).

 8. Precipitation connects with Hurricanes because if winds are strong enough and if rains are torrential enough, it might cause a hurricane. Hurricanes are strong rains, that can potentially destroy homes. Hurricanes are also called "typhoons" in some countries.

 9. Precipitation connects with Carbon Dioxide because when the rain dries, again, the water vapour releases carbon dioxide, which is a poisonous gas to living beings. Carbon dioxide is also present in smoke.

 10. Carbon Dioxide connects with Acid Rain because, if the clouds are polluted enough, the rain will come down as a harmfully corrosive substance that, while the effects aren't major, can still cause a sufficient amount of damage to harm the environment.

This is the chart that we made(my group) to make this blog possible:

Laughter: Your Prescription

Hello, again! Thank you for viewing this blog. Hope you enjoy.
       - Me

Laughter is the best medicine. If you think this is not true, yes, it is true. Laughter relieves people of everyday stress, they actually help the person relax. They can also help prevent diseases. For an odd reason, laughing also helps you live longer.

Here is a Google Slide about three different videos.

Thank you for reading this post, and goodbye!

The Challenges of Hauora

   Hello again!
                  - Andrei M.

Today, I am talking about Hauora, and I will define each part of Hauora in my own opinion.

Physical Wellbeing/ Tana Tinana:

The physical wellbeing/taha tinana of one person is required for them so that they can live a healthy and active life. If a person neglects this, they will gain weight, and become unhealthy, in other words: overweight. To avoid neglecting this, people can exercise and eat healthy foods.

Example:

Mental Wellbeing/Taha Hinengaro:
The mental wellbeing of someone is a very important part of Hauora. It helps people think clearly and maintain their healthiness. If this is neglected, a person can become shy, scared, or shamed.  Some reasons are mental disorders, etc. To avoid this, people can calm down for a period of time to regain their sanity, and or breathe. They can even attend meditation classes.

Examples:

Social Wellbeing/Tana Whanau:

Social Wellbeing is needed by a person to maintain a good public status and to stay intact with people they know and love. If this is neglected, a person can isolate themselves from others, and stay away for a period of time. They, will deteriorate, perhaps can cause self-harm, murder, and worst of all, a self-inflicted death, without anyone knowing. This can happen by a false crime accusation, bad luck(probably), and public degradation. To avoid this, people can spend a bit of time for themselves, perhaps a vacation, and relax for a certain amount of time.

Examples:

Spiritual Wellbeing/Taha Wairua:

Spiritual Wellbeing is the belief of a person to life and nature. People pray to their religion in their countries and because of their tradition. This can be neglected as to losing faith in their gods and other certain things. A person can maintain this by believing in their gods, and by praying. Meditation will also work.

Examples:

Thank you for reading this blog post. I worked really hard on this. If you want to send some feedback, please just comment. Thank you!

My SEE Performance

This week in our P.E Hurumanu we have been…
  • (What game did we play?) Floor Hockey and 6-Corner Soccer
  • (Where) The School Gym
  • (Why or what was the focus?) To understand how to play

S - Statement
E - Explanation
E - Example

Our activity was Floor Hockey. For this activity I rated my self as a Level 3.

To achieve at Level 4, we have to show that we can consistently work better as a team.

During the game of Floor Hockey, I showed that I am working at Level 3 by working with my team and learning how to be a good sport. These examples show that I have met the standard for Level 4.

While playing 6-Corner Soccer, something that I found challenging was to understand how to play the game. The reason I found this challenging was because it was slightly different from real soccer and that it was an altered version of soccer

However, I managed to overcome this challenge by working with my team and keeping track of where the ball would be

Next week I am aiming to work at Level 4 To make sure that I am working at  that level I am going to work on speed and endurance and working with my teammates.
