Maths: D.M.I.C - A. M
If you've seen my "Reading: Vocabulary - A. M" recent post, then the note is the same. This task is again assigned to me by Mr. Terry Mitchell of 7/8 Mt. The photo is also from another project of 7/8 DMIC. My name is Andrei Montellano, and I am the one who made both blogs. I did this with the fear of copyright and the fear of being sued for copyrighting my own blogs.
(A) What was the task?
The task was that we had to figure out how to make the plan on the photo more realistic or to try and make it work. We have to find out how much we would gain for a fund goal. We had to work out the following:
Expenses:
- one sheet of coloured paper for 6 choco-coated strawberries each (10 c)
- punnets of a dozen strawberries (S 2.50 each)
- cooking chocolate (white, dark and milk (S 3.95 per bag))
Income:
- 1 box of 6 chocolate coated strawberries for S 2.00
Profit:
S 250+ required for goal
(B) How did we work it out?
We used the "Profit = income - expenses" tactic used by many entrepreneurs and shop owners. We worked it out by subtracting the expenses with the income, calculating how much we could POSSIBLY get in one day and multiplying it with 7(a week), etc.. We still haven't got the whole answer, but this might be a good explanation.
